From the Front Porch: The Gift of Time

Someone once wrote that time flows into eternity. That being the case, everything we do today impacts everything that happens from this moment forward.

The Apostle Paul encouraged the Corinthian Church to look toward the day when God would bring the present world order to a close and usher in  a new kingdom in Jesus Christ. Therefore he reminded the Church to avoid being caught up in worldly affairs as a central focus of their lives. After all, if the present world is passing away, each moment of our lives should be devoted to God and his purpose for the salvation of the world through Jeses Christ.

Since time flows into eternity, everything we say and do today has an impact on other people’s lives. Moreover, our words and deeds count for all eternity. What will you do today to have a positive impact on the lives of others? How will your actions serve Gods purposes for the redemption of the world?
